ALEX HALEY  (b. 8/11/21, d. 2/10/92) maintained a large collection of personal papers and research materials. He donated part of this collection to the University of Tennessee before he died. The inventory of this collection is online. After he died there was an estate auction to pay off debts. A great deal of material related to Haley working with Malcolm X on his autobiography was included in this sale.
